Ângela Rocha
Set and costume designer

Angela Rocha obtained her BA in Theatre – Stage Design from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School, and has been working in stage design ever since.
Through a Leonardo Da Vinci scholarship, she did an internship in Costume Design at the MateriaViva theatre company, in Rome. In Theatre, she has worked as a set and costume design assistant to Rita Lopes Alves, for the Artistas Unidos theatre company.
Ângela Rocha has created and built the sets and designed the costumes for several plays by Ana Lázaro, Gonçalo Waddington, João Pedro Mamede, Madalena Marques, Marc Xavier, Mickael Gaspar, Susana Gaspar, Roberta Castelluzzo, Tiago Guedes and Tiago Rodrigues.
A member of the Aware group, organised by the Alkantara Festival, she co-founded the Condomínio Lisboa Festival – a cultural festival that takes place on residential spaces – in 2014.
Ângela Rocha currently lives in Lisbon. She is 163 centimetres tall and plans to continue to grow taller through her work.
